The Field Trip

Me: Henry, how was your field trip to see the Wizard of Oz today?

Henry: Good. There was a princess who wanted to get back home to Candace. And let me tell you who the good guys were: a scarecrow who could talk but didn't have a brain, a tan man made out of tan, and a lion who needed curtains.

Me: Was there a Wizard behind the curtain at the end?

Henry: NO! There was no wizard.

Me: What about flying monkeys? Were they scary?

Henry: There were no monkeys! What do you think it was, "Monkey of Oz?"

I had no further questions.

Art Shows, Tea Parties and Lake Days

At Henry's Art Show at school:

After the Art Show, Svea said, "Mom, I'm ready to go to Henry's Art Show."
I said, "Svea, that WAS the Art Show. Where we just were when Henry got his handprints."
"That wasn't an Art Show, Mom," she said. "That was just a bunch of walking around.

Inside Svea's Tent Tea Party that will truly only fit one person (I tried):

A day at the lake:

I think Shug had the best time...and after 4 hours of swimming was still not tired.

First Pressure Washer Lesson

Luckily, everyone kept their toes...and Brian was able to get Henry's name out of the driveway...

Henry's Journal

"I got a new skateboard"

"I played flag football and I ate cake."

"I went to the beach."

What Svea looked like when she walked in her room and saw a pig in her bed:
