(At Henry's final game, he kept drifting from his flag football field to watch the soccer game going on in the neighboring field).
Waning interest is one reason we won't do this again, but another is that I cannot tell you the name of one of these kids besides my own. Watching Henry play team sports is not only about the skills, teaching sportsmanship, healthy competition, etc. It is also about building community and getting to know each other...and that did not happen this time.
Inhale, exhale.
There will be a new season...
